Abstract

Despite the current proliferation of eminent research textbooks designed to give guidance and direction to research students on a variety of methods of conducting research, most of such textbooks deal with so many things at a time that the actual procedures and processes for successful academic research writing are not always attended. Such omission is regrettable since what research students practically need go beyond the mere fact of getting to know the details about the various research methods and statistics for doing academic research. There is also the need to assist them on how to deal with the actual craft and procedures for accomplishing their own research. The major aim of this article is to render clarity to the specific processes and procedures for conducting an excellent academic research, from conceptualization of the problem to the final stages of reporting and discussing and interpreting of the findings.
